Macros are crucial to be successful in PvP. They allow players to useabilities on enemies without having to target them. This helps increase overalldamage/healing and general awareness in the arena. Here are a few macros thatall Assassination Rogues can benefit from.
This page is part of our Assassination Rogue PvP Guide.
1.
Generalities
Macros allow you to perform more complex actions than simplyclicking your spell while targeting the enemy. They can be used for a widevariety of things, such as using several spells together with the pressof one button, using abilities on specific targets without having totarget them, and so on. As Rogue, it is essential to use a few macros to gainefficiency. The class has a lot of crowd control options available, and you wantto avoid switching targets as it could constantly lead to mistakes, make you slower, and hurt your damage on your primary target. Macros are thesolution to this, as they allow you to use your CC abilities on someone youare not targeting without dropping your target!
The examples below are all with your Focus Target. You can replace focus witharena1, arena2, or arena3 to have a more accessible time landing CC on arena targets. Itis not recommended to start from close to zero macros and attempt to createmacros for everything instantly, as you may be overwhelmed. Instead, process slowly, starting only with the focus target and the most crucial spells, and create moremacros as you get comfortable with the ones you have.
